Welcome Sequoia Gas Co. Customers!

As of 10/1/2022, Sequoia Gas has merged with Blue Star Gas and we are pleased to welcome Sequoia gas customers to the Blue Star Gas family of companies. Both companies started in the late 1930’s, Blue Star Gas in 1938 in Garberville and Sequoia Gas in 1941. Both are third generation family owned companies and have operated in Humboldt County for over 80 years, and most importantly, both companies are very engaged in supporting the communities of the county. We are pleased to share that members of the McWhorter family will continue to run the Fortuna and Arcata locations and continue as owners under this merger of the two family businesses. Together we cover the north coast from Sonoma County into Oregon. The Sequoia Gas family thanks you for the trust you have put in us all these many years and look forward to continuing to provide you with the propane services available under the Blue Star Gas flag.

We have highly trained service departments at all locations and carry a full line of residential and commercial appliances as well as greenhouse equipment. We also sell generators and were the Kohler Power Dealer of the Year in 2020.
